【摘要】:ISO9994:2005establishesrequirementsforlighterstoensureareasonabledegreeofsafetyfornormaluseorreasonablyforeseeablemisuseofsuchlightersbyusers.ThesafetyspecificationgiveninthisInternationalStandardappliestoallflame-producingproductscommonlyknownascigarettelighters,cigarlightersandpipelighters.Itdoesnotapplytomatches,nordoesitapplytootherflame-producingproductsintendedsolelyforignitingmaterialsotherthancigarettes,cigars,andpipes.Lighters,beingflame-producingdevices,can,asdoallflamesources,presentapotentialhazardtousers.ThesafetyspecificationgiveninthisInternationalStandardcannoteliminateallhazards,butisintendedtoreducepotentialhazardstousers.
