【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddealswithreliabilityassessmentoflasermodulesusedfortelecommunication.Theaimofthisstandardis:-toestablishastandardmethodofassessingthereliabilityoflasermodulesinordertominimizerisksandtopromoteproductdevelopmentandreliability;-toestablishmeansbywhichthedistributionoffailureswithtimecanbedetermined.Thisshouldenablethedeterminationofequipmentfailureratesforspecifiedendoflifecriteria.Inaddition,guidanceisgivenon:-thetestingthatasystemsuppliershouldensureisinaplacepriortoprocurementofalasermodulefromalasermodulemanufacturer;-arangeofactivitiesexpectedofasystemsuppliertoverifyalasermodulemanufacturer'sreliabilityclaims.FurtherdetailsconcerningtherationalearegiveninannexesAandB.
