【摘要】:ThispracticemaybeusedtosatisfytherequirementsofSpecificationD3460whenperformanceintheintendeduseinaprinterorcopierisrequired.Describingphysicalparametersofpaperaloneisnotsufficienttoensureperformanceinacopierorprinter.Curl,bothbeforeandafterimaging,mayeffectcopierorprinterperformance.Thepresenceofcontaminantsinthepaperthataretackyorthermoplastic,orboth,maybetransferredtothephotoconductororfuserrolls.Theymaycauseanunwantedimage.Thesearereferredtoasx201C;stickies.x201D;Somepapers,especiallythosecontainingrecycledfiber,haveexhibitedthisproblem.Transferofreamsealingadhesiveorreamwrapperlaminanttothephotoconductororfuserrollscancauseproblemssimilartothosedescribedin5.4.1.1Thispracticecoversastandardizedprocedureforutilizingacopierorprinterasanimagingdevicewhenperformancepropertiesofpaperaretobedetermined.1.2Copiersandprintersarelimitedtothoseusingtheindirectelectrophotographicprocess.1.3Thepaperislimitedtocut-sizedofficepapers.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninAppendixX1.1.
