【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtoevaluatesulfurforsuitabilityasarubbervulcanizingagent.Sulfurparticlesmustbesignificantlysmallenoughtodissolveinrubberduringcureandproduceauniformnetworkofcross-links.Thistestmethodisusedasaqualitycontrolmethodtoensurethatnoexcessivelylargesulfurparticlesarepresentandtoseeiftheproductfollowsatypicalpatternofsizedistribution.Thisprocedureisnecessarywhenproblemsofthesulfurcakingoccurwiththeuseofthedrysievingprocedureforparticlesize.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationoftheparticlesizedistributionofthecoarsefractionofsulfur.Itislimitedtothemeasurementofthoseparticlesgreaterthan45m(No.325sieve).Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
